Prayer hall is an essential place for students to gather everyday before the school starts to indulge into a melodious experience necessary to turn the mind calm and compose before the educational enrichment begins. Thus the institution has two halls one for Gujarati medium and the second for English medium and college collectively. The prayer hall of Gujarati medium is the main hall of the school is a grand testament to the days of the Royals. The walls have paintings of Maharajas and Maharanis and depictions of the Indian classics like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana by the famous artist Somalal Shah. The students are referred to as "dikari", or ‘’ daughter’’ in our school. The hall is thereafter even used as a medium to conduct various academic activities and sessions over the year.
We believe that music is therapeutic and nourishes the soul. We have a beautiful music room, which includes a display of various rare musical instruments. The music room is used regularly by the students. Girls are also prepared for various music competitions held at ‘Kala Kumbh’ and ‘Kala Utsav’ where they have and continue to perform exceptionally well.
Physical activity is a very essential part of our curriculum. We have a state-of-the-art artificial turf sports ground that offers field and track, along with football, volleyball, handball, throwball and basketball. We also offer kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton and swimming. Our girls represent the state of Gujarat at the national level often and win trophies across the board.
We believe that life skills are learnt on the sports field and we encourage our
girls to excel here.
A relatively new addition, the indoor rifle club is located next door at Nilambag Palace. The club is designed according to professional standards and guidelines with modern equipment in order to successfully prepare students for shooting competitions held at various levels. We are proud to say that girls from the school are excelling in this sport, which helps enhance their concentration levels in the classroom.
